Reunited and It Feels So Good

As LL Cool J might say, Don't call it a comeback. I am back, but I've really gone nowhere. I've brought this back, in part because I've got plenty of little things needling me to get out. So to the two of you that might read this. Cool, we're back in business.

Well with all of that out of the way I think you can look forward to more of the same.

I figure today is a good time to let you get familiar with me. My last post was 11-2005. Things have changed, but basically they stay the same. I am rather set in my tastes, but I'll drop a list of things I watch, listen and read on a weekly basis.

What I watch: Sports (everything but especially college football, NFL, baseball, golf, NASCAR, college basketball, women's sports) The Office, My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, Friends Reruns, Discovery Channel, and National Geographic. I am currently obsessed with Bravo's Reality line up also. Desperate Housewives of Orange County and Top Chef (don't get me started on Top Chef). My new favorite is Maui Fever. Its like a bad Laguna Beach rip that knows about itself. That makes sense to me. I guess its like a band that covers eighties music, and knows the song's are great but they suck at making them work. Speaking of sucking at making it work, American Idol is soon enough going to get to some shows worth watching.

Although I say I don't watch TV that much that's a long paragraph. It's on almost all day but I really don't watch that much. I read a bundle of magazines and books thoughout the day.

What I'm Reading: 2007 Sports Illustrated Almanac, Smithsonain Book of Presidents, some David Sedaris, and after that Anthony Bourdain's A Cook's Tour. I read GQ, Esquire, National Geographic, Premiere, Fade In, and Paste.

What I'm Listening to. Right now this very second Public Enemy. What I have been listening to, Lewis Grizzard comedy albums, Jenny Lewis, Soul Asylum, lots of jazz. Mostly Art Blakey, and Modern Jazz Quartet. My Morning Jacket is never out of the rotation, and I'm revisiting Slanted and Enchanted by Pavement. I have to hear a Pavement record about every six months. My favorite songs I've heard over the last few days or months are John Anderson's She Just Started Likin' Cheatin' Songs...for the line she just started likin cheatin songs, but that's not what worries me/ i don't know if its the cheatin she likes or the melody.

Love that...and Lodi, and Hey Tonight by Creedance. Oh and just getting into Keller Williams.

Anyway, probably enough for today. My signature was always a couple or three songs for the day and here they be:

Knot Comes Loose- My Morning Jacket
Thinking About You- Norah Jones (new one, I think electric piano is making a comeback too)
Phantom Limb- The Shins (also new, love this tune)
Reunited- Peaches and Herb
